RE: Really struggling with the quality concept

my answer is still as easy as: it searches from the top down. whatever it finds in the list from the top down it will download, it will only stop when it gets one with a checkbox. It assumes the higher on the list is the quality of your preference, which would normally be a higher quality copy, but ...

RE: Really struggling with the quality concept

It will search your Quality Profile from the top down, getting the highest quality (as per the list) that it can find. If that copy it downloads is marked with a checkbox in the quality profile, it will not attempt to download others - the checkbox means "I got one we're happy with - I'm done". Ther...

RE: CP gives one search result from each Provider

If it is only finding one, then the others are somehow either: a) not classified properly by your search provider. b) not fitting the criteria that CP is applying against them. Not much can be done for a), but look to a debug log file for b) and you will get a better idea. If you believe that CP (ba...

RE: XBMC Metadata question

You are confusing two different functions.

One is the "Renamer" functions of generating Metadata

the other is the "Notifications" function

The host/username/password is only needed for the Notification function.

RE: Change Install Location

It sounds to me like you are running it in different accounts? For instance when you run in a command prompt maybe you are using run-as feature? Look under Settings > about when you launch in both cases and see the startup arguments there. Also in Task manager see if it is running under different us...

RE: Couch Potato running extremely slow

I don't have a linux box on hand right now...but I believe as long as you are on 2.7.x python I believe that is all you should need. Try to do a fresh install of CP (remove what is in your personal/home couchpotato directory). Make sure you are actually calling the correct version of python when you...

RE: Renaming issue

from your posts on github it seems you are relying on the updater to keep you up-to-date.

Please do a fresh reinstall with the latest source from github (read the Install in the FAQ section if you don't know how).

I think you are still running on an older version.

RE: Quality profiles: overview

This is a pretty good source that should explain the differences: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirated_movie_release_types Now understand that release groups don't always abide by the rules and are often making up new or psuedo-release types to try to out-do one another. A particular release type ha...

RE: The v next to quality, what does it mean?

Only movies that were download by CP would have a quality profile associated with them by default so yes, that is why there are no marks next to existing movies. If you were to delete your database and import all your managed movies again there would be no marks because CP would have no way of knowi...

RE: The v next to quality, what does it mean?

It is not a v it is a checkmark. This is setup in your quality profiles. A checkbox configured next to a quality means that once that quality is downloaded, it will not attempt to download other qualities. For instance if you quality profile is listed as: 720p 1080p (checkbox) It means that even tho...

Does the movie page on Matrix have a weblink with the imdb id in it? I can't look at that page without VIP access.

RE: Nzb not being grabbed by CP but available in nzbmatrix

I have no idea what movies you are trying to get... your links only work for VIP members, so please provide the names of some of the movies.

While your at it, create a clean log with just the failed search for the movies you want.
