VPN for CouchPotato and SickRage

One of my friends has a FreeNas box that has couch potato, sick rage, and transmission installed. He recently just got Ivacy VPN and installed it in his transmission jail. If he can only install the VPN on a limited number of devices, should he bother installing the VPN in the couch potato and sick rage jails or should he just wait until he can build a pfsense router and put the VPN there?
