Strange renamer behaviour (and where has github issues gone?)

Postby faminebadger » 20 Jul 2018 00:23

I first tried to report this by pressing "Report Issue" inside CouchPotato itself - that leads to a 404 not found on github.

Then I manually tried to report an issue on github and also followed the link "Bug Reports" at the top of this form - that also doesn't work - it goes to Pull Requests, not Issues.

Either something strange has happened, or you've chosen to no longer allow users to post bugs (in which case the button in the software and the forum here are somewhat misleading). It would be helpful to let users know what the currently correct method is for providing feedback / bug reports.

Anyway, the bug report itself is below - CP incorrectly renamed lots of extra files in addition to the single movie I was expecting it to do.

Any ideas what's going on? Seems like a bug to me, it shouldn't be considering these extra files.

Thanks

Famine

--------------------

### Steps to reproduce:
1. Download of the DBZ movie collection - all files in one folder
2. Manually trigger CP to do a scan - it ignored everything and created .ignore files (because there were no .nfo files)
3. Created a .nfo file with the same name as the first movie as a test, and delete its .ignore file
4. Manually trigger CP to do a scan - expecting to ignore everything except the first, and import it
5. Instead it goes mad and imports a selection (but not all!) of the moves all as if they were the first one.

Hmm, it does the same when I put an NFO file in for every single movie (with filenames matching the movie filenames of course).

It got some right (about 5 of 14), but then imported the rest as cd1/2/3/4/5 copies of the same movie again. I can't understand this behaviour at all!

Great support guys, thanks a bunch for your help.

Guess I'll just find an alternative piece of software.
